Yixing Pottery is a traditional art form with a history spanning thousands of years. The colored clays of these hand formed vessels are found only in the province of Yixing, China. These pots are not mass produced, rather they are constructed individually by artists who sign each piece. Yixing Teapots are renown as the "best vessels for brewing" by Chinese tea afficionados. These fine teapots have the unique ability to absorb the flavor of the tea with continuous usage. The fired clay contains tiny air pockets which provide insulation as well as enhanced taste and aroma of fine tea.
